An extraordinary and unpredictable Premier League season is over and one of the biggest successes of the season has been the Brtish Premier League’s ‘Debut Ball’ scheme designed to recognise the debut of Home Grown Players.
Wrights Plastics has designed, made and engraved the presentation cases containing the official match ball and presented to each player as a tangible reminder of their footballing milestone. The scheme saw 67 players receive their presentation case – a 24% rise on the previous season and a great sign for the future of Home Nations football.
Eighteen Premier League teams gave debuts to Home Grown Players (HGP) and some, such as Marcus Rashford and Dele Alli, are already well-known names.
Ged Roddy, the Premier League Director of Youth said “We’re delighted with how well the Debut Balls have been received by the players. It’s something tangible that they can keep which reflects the years of hard work that they have put in.”
The project marked our debut with the Premier League and we are delighted at the success of the scheme and how much the players’ appreciated the presentation case. Our own gaffer, Mike Wright, commented “We are really honoured to have played our part in this scheme, designed to secure future success for our nations’ football teams. We wish every Home Nation team at Euro 2016 good luck – and are already looking forward to the start of next season.”
