Birmingham2022 Table Stands For CSM Live

Most events at the hugely successful Birmingham2022 Games took place not far from our West Bromwich base, so we were delighted to be able to get involved courtesy of two projects for events brand CSM Live.

CSM Live work globally with sporting events rights holders to help brands create new revenue streams.

Our second project saw us supply a series of stylish and bright table stands that were seen at hospitality venues across at the Games.

The stands – printed in a range of colours and featuring Birmingham2022 and sponsor logos – measured 23cm tall on 140mm x 160mm bases.

We were recommended to CSM Live by Cannon, Birmingham2022’s Official Imaging Supporter. As a longstanding customer of theirs, they were confident that not only could we deliver the high-quality true colour print required by CSM Live for the stands, but we were also able to manage all the production processes under one roof – lowering the footprint & ensuring one point of contact for CSM Live’s John Horne who was supervising the project.

The component parts of the stands were printed directly onto 10mm black panels. Our investment in the Océ Arizona 6170 means rigid material can be held securely in place – that’s important when the shapes need to be cut accurately out of the sheet. On this machine we also can print very quickly with no loss of quality.

Registration marks are printed on the PVC sheet and these dots are picked up on our very clever Zund which provides exceptional CNC routing services helping it know exactly where to cut out the shapes that form the bases and uprights of the stands. This precision not only ensures the finished products look good but also makes sure we use as much of the sheet as possible – lowering costs and reducing material waste.

Once cut out the parts were glued and hand assembled by our dedicated fabrication teams for forwarding to the CSM Live team.
